I met a person who was recruiting members for an organization whose mission was and still is to save the world's wildernesses . In the course of our conversation, I mentioned how much my family had enjoyed camping as we were growing up. Her reply was that she was so busy working for this organization that she didn't have the time or the inclination to get out and see what she was trying to save. This struck me then and strikes me now as being so tragic.
– How often do we fail to see the beauty that is around us because we are so terribly busy trying to “save” it somewhere else?
